Other Worlds
This World and Other Worlds are part of an ongoing series of oil paintings and charcoal drawings, called Deep Space.
Most of these drawings are of a different world beyond this galaxy. The seas could be methane gases, gasoline, or molten rock or water.
The figures are upright but not humans. They live in this environment, whereas we would die. Some of these figures fly without any visible means of support. They run into hostile attitudes from those on the surface.
With all the billions and billions of galaxies, and trillions upon trillions upon trillions of stars in the universe, there must be other solar systems filled with life.
And, no matter how different we may be, we are united by one large fact. Every thing is made of stardust. You are part of some ancient star that burnt out and turned to stardust a long time ago. So, all of us are made of stardust. That’s all there is --- the air we breathe, the carbon in our bones ---- all stardust.
I kind of like that.
